The Bridges of Madison County at McGregor Hall

Show and Auditions Information

About the Show

The Bridges of Madison County is a sweeping musical romance of desire and sacrifice based on the best-selling novel and Academy Award-nominated motion picture.

After marrying an American soldier to escape Italy at the end of World War II, Francesca builds herself a home in Iowa, raising two children and settling into a steady but unremarkable routine. Then one day, she meets Robert, a charismatic photographer, who awakens her passion and changes her life forever.

With a gorgeous Tony Award-winning score by Jason Robert Brown (The Last Five YearsParade) and a moving book by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Marsha Norman (The Color PurpleThe Secret Garden), The Bridges of Madison County is a ravishing story about the choices we make for love.

The production will be featured as part of the 2024-25 McGregor Live! Season Package, and will feature a large-scale set, custom costumes, and will be accompanied by a live professional orchestra.

McGregor Hall’s presentation of The Bridges of Madison County is presented through an exclusive arrangement with Musical Theater International, www.mtishows.com
