Leave a Lasting Legacy
The 2016 completion of The Performing Arts Center at McGregor Hall marks an important milestone for the Henderson & Kerr Lake community. Now you can mark your place in history on this important landmark through the Take a Seat campaign.
With your donation to the campaign and for recognition of your generous support, an engraved brass plaque bearing the donor's message - be it the name of someone the donor wishes to honor or memorialize, or a message from an organization, or any special message - will be permanently affixed to one of the theater's 1,000 seats.
In Memorial
Take a Seat is the perfect way to remember and honor a loved one. The engraved plaque will be a permanent part of the theater - making the honored a permanent part of our community.
As A Gift
Take a Seat makes a great birthday, anniversary, or holiday gift for the person who gives much to the community. Your donation keeps the cycle of community building strong.
As A Group
Your work, philanthropic, church, or other organization can show its support in a visible and impactful way.
How it works
Be a part of history and follow these steps to order your seat plaque:
1. Choose your message for the plaque (see specifications to the right).
2. Download the form HERE and send it to McGregor Hall or use our online form HERE. You may also order your plaque in person or over the phone at the box office by calling (252) 598-0662.
3. If you choose to download the form, you may print it and return it with your payment information to McGregor Hall Performing Arts Center, 201 Breckenridge Rd., Henderson, NC 27536.
4. Be sure to check your desired message for accuracy when filling out the form and keep to the character specifications.
5. If you include the name and mailing address of the person or group honored on the plaque, they will receive a special gift acknowledgement letter.

Lines of text: 1 or 2
Available Characters: Alphanumerics (A-Z, a-z, 0-9), Punctuation, Spaces
Character limit: 25 per line, including punctuation and spaces
Your $1,000 donation to the Take a Seat campaign is fully tax-deductible and may be paid in one lump sum or in four installments over one year. Payment is accepted via Visa, Mastercard, or by check.
Seat designations are available on a first-come, first served basis. We will do our best to accommodate your requested seating designation; however, the theater reserves the right to assign the plaque's designation. We reserve the right to reject engraved messages.
The “Take-A-Seat” campaign does not include a personal seat license and we cannot guarantee that the seat(s) which you have named will be available for ticketed performances.
