Pianist John Noel with Aurora Musicalis

Music at McGregor Performance Series

SUNDAY, MARCH 18, 2018 - 2 PM

Dr. John Noel will perform a solo piano recital for the first half of the program and then will be joined by AURORA MUSICALIS, a piano trio consisting of Dr. Noel, violinist Rebekah Binford, and cellist Elizabeth Bielman.  

A Henderson native, Dr. Noel earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in 2003.  He has performed around the world and currently teaches piano in the Houston area.

AURORA MUSICALIS celebrated its 25th Anniversary season in 2016-17. Translated roughly, its name means “Musical Lights,” conjuring images of colorful and spirited music making.
