To Kill A Mockingbird
presented by The Henderson Rec Players

Aug. 10 at 8pm, Aug. 11 at 8pm, Aug. 12 at 8pm and Aug. 13 at 2pm

Based on Harper Lee’s classic novel, To Kill A Mockingbird is told through the eyes of young Scout Finch, who lives with her older brother, Jem, and their widowed father, Atticus, in 1930s Alabama. When Atticus, a respected lawyer, defends a black man named Tom Robinson against false rape charges, the trial and tangent events expose the children to the evils of racism and stereotyping.

The production is presented by The Henderson Rec Players and directed by Betsy Henderson, department chair and instructor for humanities and fine arts at Vance-Granville Community College.
